Test kits are now available at most public locations of Public Health Sudbury & Districts
Members of the public who are wary of their COVID-19 status can still get access to free rapid antigen test kits.
Although the kits were being supplied by most pharmacies across Ontario in 2022 and part of 2023, there are far fewer pickup points now. The kits were useful in determining whether a person with respiratory virus symptoms might be positive for COVID-19. Health Canada said symptoms might include fever, new persistent cough, chills, appetite loss, muscle aches, loss or change of smell, loss or change of taste.
Responding to the fact there are fewer pickup points, Public Health Sudbury & Districts said Tuesday that it will be providing the RAT kits to members of the public going forward and into the fall. The kits may be picked up in the reception area of the office locations listed below during the office hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some offices are closed for the lunch hour .
