They also said they are ensuring the recalled product is being removed from the marketplace.

The recall so far only involves the McCain 3/8-inch Staycrisp Straight Cut Fries by MacMillan's Specialty Foods in a 2.04 kg bag, with a UPC code: 1 89987 76455 3 where wheat is not declared on the label, says Health Canada. The CFIA is asking consumers to check to see if they have the recalled product. They are warning those with celiac disease or other gluten-related disorders not to consume it since it can result in having a serious or life-threatening reaction.

The agency is also advising consumers not to serve, use, sell or distribute recalled products. The CFIA said recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the place they were purchased from.
