'Hawkeye' brings Hailee Steinfeld into the spotlight
All of this leads to what I believe was a pretty inescapable conclusion before all this: Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop is going to be a core anchor in the MCU going forward here, and going to be given a lot of screen time and responsibility. This could manifest in a few ways. A second season of Hawkeye seems inevitable, for one, with or without Renner.
Arcane season 2 has also been greenlit, so expect Steinfeld to reprise her role as Vi for that. For now, we have three more Wednesdays of Hawkeye to go, and we’ll see where things end up with Kate Bishop when that’s over and done with, and what her next steps are likely to be.
