'Have you fed any children today?' Lawmaker films himself heckling antiabortion protesters.

Pennsylvania state Rep. Brian Sims speaks at a protest calling on the state to add sexual orientation to its hate crime law. Sims is drawing criticism for recording himself berating a woman demonstrating outside an abortion clinic in Philadelphia, calling her an"old white lady" and her protest"grotesque." By Marisa Iati Marisa Iati Email Bio Follow May 8 at 2:35 PM The confrontation outside a Planned Parenthood clinic in Philadelphia escalated quickly.

Dayle Steinberg, president of Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania, said she did not condone Sims’s approach but also opposed “shaming, judgment, harassment or intimidation” of women coming to the clinic. Pennsylvania’s legislature is considering a bill that would ban abortions based on a diagnosis of possible Down syndrome.

A spokesman for the Philadelphia district attorney’s office said they were reviewing the letter and the videos and had not made any charging or investigative decisions.
