will face a retrial on rape charges in New York on April 15, despite his pleas to the judge on Wednesday to move the proceedings up.
During the hearing on Wednesday, the 72-year-old Weinstein, who is diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia, told Judge Curtis J. Farber he might not make it to April due to his health issues and conditions in jail, “I’m asking and begging your honor to move your trial,” Weinstein reportedly said. “I can’t hold on anymore. I’m holding on because I want justice for myself.”
