After 21 months, a San Francisco International Airport terminal is getting reconnected to the airport's people mover later this week.
SFO will reopen the AirTrain station at Harvey Milk Terminal 1 on April 26, it announced Monday afternoon. According to the airport, the station had been closed since July 2021 to"facilitate construction of a connection to the new terminal." AirTrain vehicles will begin stopping at Harvey Milk Terminal 1 on Wednesday after 3 a.m. Passengers entering the terminal will travel across a connector and arrive in the mezzanine level before taking an elevator or escalator down to the departures level for airline check-in and security checkpoint screening.
Meanwhile passengers exiting the terminal will be directed to the AirTrain station found in SFO's International Terminal.
