Fifteen years after he last played the swashbuckling archeologist, Harrison Ford thought he was done playing Indiana Jones.

We come to him at a place where he’s not quite the guy we used to know, but we see him revived by the relationship and adventure that he goes on with Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Along with getting a chance to inject a cast of mostly new faces , Mangold leapt at the opportunity to give Ford a proper send-off in his last performance as the character.Article content Seated next to Ford, Waller-Bridge, 37, says she found working with the Hollywood legend “quite intimidating” at first, but was immediately put at ease by his easygoing nature.

“The moment we met it was so much fun. Harrison went to great lengths to make me feel like an equal on set and in real life,” she says. “I think that’s what drew me to the script — Helena and Indy are equal in terms of their wit and in terms of their intelligence and their fortitude and their survival instincts. The whole film is about this journey where they realize how alike they are.”
