More than 200 names from across the nation were read aloud at Italian Lake on Sunday as a way to remember Black and brown people who died at the hands of law enforcement through racialized violence.

Just because the headlines aren’t popping that doesn’t mean that these things happening and it doesn’t mean these circumstances are done,” DeMuro said. “We didn’t fix it and we’re still dealing with it [racism].”
