Harbour Grace RCMP arrested Justin King, 31, on Friday, Feb. 17. - FileHARBOUR GRACE, N.L. — Police have arrested a 31-year-old man from Western Bay accused of fleeing from RCMP officers during two recent attempted traffic stops.

RCMP said Justin King was arrested on Feb. 17 after police obtained a warrant for his arrest on Feb. 9. Police sought the warrant following two incidents where King allegedly fled from police during two attempted traffic stops. Police said in both cases, King drove away at high speeds, and in the interest of public safety, officers did not pursue his vehicle.He now faces criminal charges, including flight from police and dangerous driving, as well as charges under the Highway Traffic Act for driving while suspended.
