Grandpere’s love builds a Viking ship in West Pubnico | SaltWireSEONGNAM, South Korea - South Korea's Hanwha Ocean has pitched offers to build submarines to Canada, the Philippines and Poland, a company official said on Wednesday, as the country pushes to become one of the world's top four defence exporters.
South Korea's President Yoon Suk Yeol has pledged to step up efforts to boost weapons exports and secure cutting-edge defence technologies as he aims to build the industry into one of the world's four largest exporters. Kim said Hanwha Ocean had responded this year to questions from Poland on its submarine building capabilities, after registering interest in the European country's tender to build about three submarines.
