Hank Forsyth has joined Warner Chappell Music as executive vice president, strategy and business development, the company announced Tuesday (July 16). In his new role, Forsyth will develop and implement strategic initiatives to boost results for the publisher’s songwriters and catalog.

“Hank comes to Warner Chappell with deep experience across the publishing, label, and biz dev spaces,” said Warner Chappell co-chair and CEOin a joint statement. “He’s a passionate music fan and an outstanding strategic thinker whose diverse knowledge and business savvy will be invaluable as we bring the inspirational work of our songwriters to multiple platforms across the globe with integrity and ingenuity.

Forsyth previously served as COO and CFO of the media and content company Blackbird Production Partners, where he will remain as an advisor. He’s also held positions at Blue Note Records, EMI Group and EMI Music Publishing.
