A new featurette trailer for Halloween Ends teases Laurie Strode's final battle against iconic horror movie villain Michael Myers. After first being released in 1978, John Carpenter's Halloween kick-started a franchise that now features 12 installments in total. In the first film, Jamie Lee Curtis' Laurie survived to become one of the most iconic horror movie final girls of all time.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY After the events of last year's Halloween Kills, which saw Myers slaughter an angry mob of civilians before then killing Laurie's daughter, Karen , Halloween Ends will pick up after a four-year time jump. A trailer for the upcoming film has already shown off some of what's to come, including a brutal kitchen fight between Laurie and Myers.
Can Laurie Finally Defeat Michael Myers In Halloween Ends? With the previous Halloween Ends trailer teasing that Myers will finally be unmasked and the promise that the upcoming film will be Laurie's last, expectations are high for the movie to deliver some big surprises. Myers, despite several of close calls and fake-out deaths over the course of the franchise, has never truly died, meaning Halloween Ends could be the first to definitely kill the villain.
Green's upcoming horror flick has the opportunity to provide a sense of finality to Laurie's chapter of the story, even if a different version of Myers returns in a future Halloween reboot. Laurie remains one of the most beloved final girls in horror movie history, meaning the pressure is on to deliver a satisfying ending to the character's journey.
