Halifax police are continuing to investigate the killing of Shane Darrell Siddle. ContributedHALIFAX, N.S. — Police are continuing to investigate the killing of Shane Darrell Siddle 28 years after his death in Halifax.

They received a report on Dec. 12, 1994 that Siddle, a patient at the Victoria General Hospital, had been admitted five days earlier with a serious head injury. On Dec. 13, he died. Investigators believe that on the night of Dec. 7, Siddle was assaulted near his home on Belle Aire Terrace in Halifax, and it was not reported.

Police speculate there are people with information that could lead to an arrest, and even the smallest piece of information may be helpful. The Nova Scotia Justice Department is offering a cash reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for Siddle's death.
