A Halifax fashion designer is headed into a busy stretch with two shows upcoming and an appearance at New York Fashion Week., is getting ready for not one but two fashion shows this spring.
Her studio is a melting pot of colours, patterns, textures, and designs. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee paired with the infectious smile on Marie’s face greets you as you enter.Walking into her creative space is like being transported into Webb’s head.
Forrestall, who is an artist and art educator, decided to give Webb her studio once she saw that art and design was her calling.“My mum is my source of inspiration. She is art and she is my role model,” said Webb.“Our family motto is Do Art or Die,” said Millie, an artist and graphic designer in her own right.In 2013, Marie had the opportunity to host a solo fashion exhibit at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia. She was the first and the youngest woman to do so at the art gallery.
