Residents living in an apartment building in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood are shaken after learning about what happened to one of their neighbors on the third floor, with gunfire erupting early Wednesday morning.
“I think that’s the most terrifying,” said resident Nia Kendall. “I am a full-time student so I’m always coming and going and so it kinda adds that fear factor.”
“We were wondering like, 'what was going on,' and we got the Citizen notifications on the app,” said resident Artena Collins. “We assumed it was really nothing different than stuff that goes on every once in a while.”Sign up for NBC Chicago newsletters.
