In his career, Judge is a .232 hitter in the regular season against Cleveland with five home runs and 12 RBI. But he has struggled against Cleveland in the postseason, batting just .070 with a home run and 20 strikeouts in 29 at-bats across seven games.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Carl Willis says Guardians pitchers will respect every major league hitter that steps into the batter’s box against them in the American League Division Series beginning Tuesday at Yankee Stadium.

That’s true of Yankees slugger Aaron Judge and it’s true of the other eight batters in New York’s lineup. But Cleveland’s veteran pitching coach said Monday his staff is certainly aware of what Judge has accomplished on his own this season.
