Gas expert Roger McKnight predicts an average Saturday gas price in the GTA of around $1.68 per litre.

The Greater Toronto Area is poised to experience a ten cent drop in gas prices heading into the weekend, according to Roger McKnight, chief petroleum analyst at En-Pro International.

Recent data from Statistics Canada indicates that while the number of international travellers the country saw in MayMcKnight doesn’t think this relief is temporary. In fact, consumers’ fears of recession may be the driving force behind more palatable gas prices to come.
