A handful of local curling organizations have come together to help make the 2023 Nickel City Curling Championships a reality at the Gerry McCrory Countryside Sports Complex from March 16-26
Billed as an “incredible two-week stretch of curling,” a handful of local organizations have come together to host the 2023 Nickel City Curling Championships.
The country’s best curlers will then compete in a 28-team Canadian Mixed Doubles Championship featuring 14 local provincial & territorial champions, as well as the top 14 ranked mixed doubles teams in the country not already qualified through the provincial championship playdown process. National attention will be awarded to Greater Sudbury during the nationally televised Canadian Mixed Doubles event, which will feature both local advertisements and a vignette about the city during the broadcast itself.
Ticket packages for the Nickel City Curling Championships went live on the City of Greater Sudbury’s website on Sept. 1, and those interested in purchasing tickets can do so by clicking here. Individual day passes will be made available early this winter.
