Defensive-minded Victoria plays sixth-place Coquitlam Express at The Q Centre on Friday night

The Victoria Grizzlies continue tracking home-ice advantage for the first round of the B.C. Hockey League playoffs when they play two Lower Mainland teams this weekend at The Q Centre.

The fifth-place Grizzlies are two points behind the Nanaimo Clippers , who hold down fourth place and final post-season home-ice advantage berth in the Coastal Conference. Both teams have four regular-season games remaining. The defending conference-champion Alberni Valley Bulldogs are in third place, also with four games remaining, and are three points ahead of Nanaimo and five points ahead of Victoria.

The defensive-minded Grizzlies, with NCAA Division 1 Cornell Big Red-bound forward Anderson Chase Pirtle leading in points with 46, play the sixth-place Coquitlam Express tonight at the Q Centre and the second-place Chilliwack Chiefs on Saturday night in the home double dip in Colwood. The Chiefs have clinched second place in the Coastal Conference behind the Surrey Eagles , who have secured the conference regular-season championship, and are on track for the league regular-season title.
