A Greeley teenager has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of his ex-girlfriend about four weeks after the 15-year-old victim tried to end their relationship
, authorities said Tuesday.
Jovanni Sirio-Cardona, 16, faces multiple charges as an adult in connection with the June 16 shooting death of Lily Silva-Lopez, according to theOfficers responded to a trailer home on a report of a shooting and found Silva-Lopez, who had been shot multiple times, a DA’s news release said. She died at the scene.allege that Sirio-Cardona approached the home unannounced, forced entry through the victim’s bedroom window and shot Silva-Lopez in a hallway of the residence.
A witness told investigators that he saw Sirio-Cardona with a gun in his hand standing over the teen’s body seconds after she had been shot, according to an arrest affidavit.
