According to a Facebook post on Wednesday, the city has given a deadline of 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18 for the decorations to be removed. Officials claimed in the post that failure to comply would result in the city taking action and the owner being required to retrieve their items from the Public Works building.
In response to the skeleton display, city officials said the decorations were a violation of city code as attaching anything to a street sign was not allowed. Comments poured in, debating the excessive number of signs attached to street signs — ranging from 'Yard Sale' signs to birthday party balloons in some instances.
