Grand Prairie to host free summer camps for kids
The camps — which include soccer, basketball and football — will be completely free for families and open to children ages 8 to 16. Lunch will be provided.
Grand Prairie Police Officer Wesley Jackson got the idea for the camps when he came across some kids playing at a recreation center during the pandemic.. “What if we could do something to help families while at the same time build relationships with these kids?”Camps will run July 11 through July 28 at the Men’s Leadership Academy, 2205 SE 4th St.
