A student from Geraldton Composite High School in northern Ontario has finished her Grade 12 year with a larger-than-life accomplishment: welding a 10-foot-tall steel moose sculpture. Here's what went into the nearly 300-hour passion project.Addica MacIver-Chapais, a Grade 12 student in Geraldton, Ont., stands beneath a moose sculpture she created with the help of her shop teacher.

For its part, Composite High School also wrote about MacIver-Chapais's accomplishment on Facebook, saying: "The moose is on the loose! Well, not really, but it is complete! Addica worked hard this past week to finish up this beast of a project.

An act of encouragement, she said, she similarly wants to spread to others so they continue to do what they love.
