Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis reached into Texas to fly immigrants across the country. Now, the people who helped him do it could face criminal charges.
DeSantis is suspected of arrangingbusing of migrants from Texas to New York and Washington D.C.
In September, Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar launched a criminal investigation into the flights out of San Antonio, and on Monday he said he had submitted"a completed criminal case" to the District Attorney's Office. It calls for misdemeanor and felony charges of unlawful restraint against those responsible. DA Joe Gonzales will decide whether to prosecute.
