People living near the east fork of the San Jacinto River should expect water to continue rising.

The counties included in the disaster declaration are Harris, Chambers, Galveston, Grimes, Liberty, Montgomery, Polk, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Baylor, Dickens, Ellis, Freestone, Haskell, Hill, Hood, Hunt, Kaufman, Knox, Leon, Limestone, Madison, McLennan, Navarro, Somervell, Tarrant, Trinity, Tyler, and Wichita.
Certain state agencies are standing by to help if needed, including Texas A&M Task Force 1 and 2 for search and rescue, the Texas National Guard and the Texas Division of Emergency Management.
