Going Viral During Coronavirus by Janie Emaus
There are four generations of women in our family. Under the best of situations, we often bicker and get on each other’s nerves.I read and watch my daughter garden. My mom sips bourbon and talks to me while I read and watch my daughter garden. This recent post went viral very quickly and is still garnering views.
Why? I think because it’s clever, quick, funny and full of love between four generations of fabulous women. If I had known it was going viral, I would have put on make-up, done my hair and worn something more attractive than a sweatshirt. But maybe it’s because we were ourselves, that itThe world is crazy now. Everyone is looking for a diversion, something to pass the time.
My granddaughter is a graduating high school senior, the class of 2020. She along with all thousands of other seniors have been robbed of a what they had been looking forward to for years. Viral videos, parking lot gatherings, social distance lawn parties won’t make up for what they have lost. And instead of a watching my granddaughter walk across the stage in a cap and gown, I’ll forever have the memories of the making of this video.
