Twenty-year-old Cam Rivard is waiting for the call to get a double lung transplant
At 20 years of age, Cam Rivard of Sudbury was pleased — and maybe a little bit embarrassed — at finally getting his high school diploma last week.
Marc's happiness at seeing Cam get that diploma is understandable when one considers Cam has a rare blood-vessel disease. He has been sick for many years. And now, he is on the waitlist for a double-lung transplant. "But with the lung transplant, the outcomes aren't as good as other organs that they transplant. There's more of a longer story to that. But that's what it is.”
