.Glossier will be giving $500,000 to more than a dozen deserving recipients.
As numerous brands — many beauty brands among them — have responded to the recent and long-overdue tidal wave of support for racial justice and equity, some stepped up especially quickly and generously.that it would be donating $500,000 across several organizations, including Black Lives Matter and the NAACP Legal Defense & Educational Fund.
Black beauty entrepreneurs are welcome to apply for grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000, depending on the stage of their business. In addition to the money, the selected businesses will have the opportunity to connect with Glossier experts in areas like content strategy and packaging, and they'll get a boost of exposure through Glossier's channels.
"We're focusing on companies that sell physical beauty products: cosmetics, skin care; products or tools for face, body and hair," the announcement reads. "We recognize that this is only one facet of the beauty world, but we believe it's where we can have the most impact, especially when it comes to sharing what we've learned."
Submissions will be accepted through July 3 and will be evaluated based on how the applying business "aspires to broaden the conversation about beauty and lead with purpose," what sets it apart from other brands, and how the grant can help its growth.
