Glenn Close shared a bare-faced selfie that revealed bruising across her cheeks.“Ignore the bruises,” she wrote. “I had a tiny break in my nose fixed.”She didn’t let the injury stop her from posting silly selfies or celebrating her 77th birthday.In a sea of flawless red carpet glamour, the occasional nugget of celebrity realness is always welcome, and this week, said breath of fresh air was delivered in the form of a bare-faced Glenn Close selfie.
“Amazing woman ❤️🙌,” someone else wrote.Shortly after posting the photos, Close celebrated her 77th birthday, and shared behind-the-scenes clips of the disastrous making of her own birthday cake. In those videos, she appeared to be less bruised, though makeup could have helped cover them. It’s unclear what kind of procedure Close underwent, but according to Mayo Clinic, depending on how a broken nose is repaired, recovery from a correction can take up to two weeks.
