Bruce Cockburn: 50 years of music, spirituality and social justice | SaltWireGLACE BAY, N.S. — A Glace Bay man is facing drug-related charges after cocaine, cash and drug paraphernalia were seized from a West Avenue residence on Oct. 13.
According to a press release from the Cape Breton Regional Police Service, Jason John MacNamara, 47, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking in cocaine, possession of property obtained by crime, obstruction of justice and two breaches of previous court-ordered conditions. His arrest came after street crime officers executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He was arrested on scene, as were two additional persons present.
A 26-year-old woman, confirmed to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest, will also face charges for breaching previous court-ordered conditions. The third person was released without charges.
