Gabe Kapler’s time with the Giants has come to an unceremonious end.
After taking over the helm in San Francisco in 2020, Kapler has been let go as manager of the club, president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi announced in a statement Friday afternoon.
“He has been dedicated and passionate in his efforts to improve the on-field performance of the San Francisco Giants and I have tremendous respect for him as a colleague and friend.” Gabe Kapler walks to the dugout after making a pitching change during the seventh inning against the San Diego Padres on Sept. 27, 2023.But after a hard-fought five-game NLDS with the Dodgers, the team lost the final game at home in San Francisco.
