A report to the Hastings Prince Edward Board of Health on Wednesday indicated more catch-up notices are going out to parents this month. Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ethan Toumishey tells Quinte News that the clinics are running right now in area schools.
“We have our immunization team that is out there in the school offering the clinics and we’ve also been working with families. So for those out of date records that were mentioned, we’re available to help people, check the records.” “Our team is quite busy for the clinics working with people for the records but it’s a large starting point. And then again I say that this is more, because of that lack of access, disruptions. We haven’t been able to be out there with the school disruptions. So its going to take some time, probably a longer period of time for us to get fully caught up. But I’m confident in the process, and confident in the team working.”
