'17' singer Zhavia opens up about her journey to stardom (watch)
, Zhavia admits that she wasn’t originally planning to audition for it, but the show’s producers wanted her to go on it, and she changed her mind when she found out that the panel was going to be more urban.cover song, explaining that her manager received an email from Zayn’s manager asking if she would like to sing the female vocals on “A Whole New World.”
“At first we thought it was a spam email, because it was just so random and it's a huge opportunity,” Zhavia admits with a laugh. “But when I found out it was legit, I was really shocked and grateful. He's an amazing artist and I feel so honored to be chosen.”, explaining that it was influenced by her life, particularly by the experiences she has had within the past two years after getting exposure from being on the show.
“Just my journey and how I got to where I am right now,” she says. “Some of the struggles I went through. And I also have some love songs on there.”
