Netflix has announced it’s working with Minecraft’s developers to produce a new animated series based on the wildly popular game.
In a 20-second video posted on YouTube on May 30, Netflix announced it’s making a new animated show based on the game Minecraft. Super Mario Bros. ? Soon you might be able to watch it.As gaming becomes more popular around the world, traditional entertainment companies like TV and movie studios are paying a lot more attention to it.
Netflix will be developing the new show in partnership with the company that created the game, called Mojang Studios, and a Canadian animation studio, called WildBrain.WildBrain, the Canadian animation studio behind shows like Sonic Prime, will be working on the new Minecraft show. You might have noticed that a lot of other TV shows and movies are based on video games these days. The Last of Us is a hit TV show that was based on a video game.
