Florian Wirtz found the net for Germany in the 10th minute and in the process, the 21-year-old became the country’s youngest scorer in European Championship history. Toni Kroos, who will be retiring from the sport at the conclusion of the tournament, was one of the key men controlling the game for Germany.
Hungary is unbeaten in their past three games against Germany, including a 1-0 victory in the 2022 UEFA Nations League, their most recent meeting.This time out they will be trying to bounce back after dropping their opener 3-1 to Switzerland.
