It's official: The Georgia Senate race between Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker is too close to call, sending them to a runoff election next month. Here's what to expect.
It looks like we may not know whether Democrats or Republicans control the U.S. Senate until next month after all.
And with nearly all reported results still showing a close race with less than a percentage point separating the two lead candidates — along with Libertarian candidate Chase Oliver also drawing votes — it became clear that neither Warnock nor Walker was likely to surpass that 50% threshold. So Georgia law demands a runoff election between the top two vote-getters four weeks later, which will land on Dec. 6.
“Whether we need to work all night, through tomorrow, or for four more weeks, we will do what we need to and bring this home,” he tweeted.
