Most Canadians willingly follow mask-mandates, and keep the soggy things over their faces when asked. Most were likewise glad to get jabbed and strengthen their resistance to COVID. Now masks have become optional in most provinces, and the likelihood of vaccines becoming optional becomes greater every month. Life is returning to normal, and for those who wed their souls to lockdowns and masks, they cannot handle the winds of change.
The anti-maskers haunting Canada’s public spaces, and the politicians who exploit them, are an unhelpful and irritating bunch. They are being replaced as the chief societal irritant by the sanctimonious mask-wearing cult, who worship the lockdown, and shake their fists at the world slowly returning to normality.
