“I think of pink as being very empowering, and I didn’t really get there until my 30s,” she says with a laugh. “One day there was a bag on the inside of my gate, and I got a text from my friendThe bag contained that very pink Isaac Hayes stage costume, complete with a cape. After Arquette’s unexpected gift, Lewis met with designer and seamstressto tailor the outfit. Owen has since made all of Lewis’s costumes, including another version of the Hayes suit in purple.
“Is this appropriate, wearing my weed suit in front of all these people? What sort of message am I putting out there? I’m like, Man, I smoke weed. It’s legal for the most part. Let’s do this!” she says of her thought process.Willie Nelson
