George W. Bush Secretary of State Gen. Colin Powell says he'll vote for Biden
Colin Powell on Sunday said he will be voting for Joe Biden for president on Nov. 3."I am very close to Joe Biden. ... I worked with him for 35-40 years. And I will be voting for him," Powell said in an interview on CNN's"State of The Union.
" Powell spoke harshly about President Donald Trump, calling him a liar, and saying Trump was"drifting away" from the constitution. Powell was secretary of state under President George W. Bush after serving as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Powell said he didn't vote for Trump in 2016.
