Gayle King hosts CBS Mornings from the back of a VAN after testing positive for COVID
Gayle, 67, said she fell to the floor when she tested positive for the virus on Thursday, and had to 'literally be picked up' off the ground by a colleague. She explained that the hosts take many tests throughout the week for the show, and when a PRC came back positive, she was stunned because she's 'so careful'. But she wasn't going to to let the positive test stop her from doing her job. Rather than going home - she decided to shoot her segment from the back of a van.
She sat in the back of the van - which serves as a mobile TV studio and has a camera and green screen in the back - alone to avoid contact with others. The TV personality has since received 'multiple' negative tests is still hoping to head off on her 'long planned' vacation to Los Angeles, California, tomorrow. Gayle said she spoke to her doctor about her confusing test results and was advised by the medical professional that she is 'fine' to travel.
