GARRIOCH: Mathieu Joseph ready to make his return to Tampa for first time since trade

He was part of the Lightning team that won back-to-back Stanley Cup championships during the COVID-19 shortened 2019-20 campaign and 2021-22. Joseph, a Laval native, was dealt to Ottawa as part of the deal sent winger Nick Paul to the Bolts last spring. The core of this group — captain Brady Tkachuk, centre Josh Norris along with Drake Batherson, Tim Stutzle and Alex DeBrincat — are young and close to Joseph’s age.
“What we’ve got is a good mix of everything. If we’re able to find consistency in our game we’re going to be a very tough team to beat.”
