Sanderson hasn’t had a chance to play a lot of hockey over the last two years and that’s a big reason why he’s playing in this tournament. He was skating on the right side of 2022 second-round pick Tomas Hamara Thursday, but the expectation is Sanderson will play on the left.Article content “I missed a lot of time last season but, hopefully, a majority of those injuries are behind me. I’m just trying to stay positive and get going with this team.”“I don’t think anyone really realizes that he’s a stud for sure,” said centre Shane Pinto, a teammate of Sanderson’s at UND. “It’s like he doesn’t even try when he skates, but he flies. He’s very smart, he’s got a great shot, a sneaky good shot and you’ll see, his play will take care of itself.
