The two said in a statement that their new production deal with Netflix made it impossible to work on the trilogy. "There are only so many hours in the day, and we felt we could not do justice to both Star Wars and our Netflix projects," the two said in a statement."So we are regretfully stepping away."Benioff and Weiss signed a deal with Netflix in August that was reportedly worth $200 million.
