THE DYCE MAN: Bob Dyce, the long-time Redblacks special teams co-ordinator began his second tenure as a CFL head coach the same as his first – with a win in his first game leading his club. He is one of just two coaches to win two in-season debuts; the other was Jim Popp as a replacement in 2006 and 2015. Dyce, who stepped in as the head coach in Saskatchewan when Corey Chamblin was fired in 2015, now has a record of 4-6.
CLOSING IN ON KERRY: Former Redblacks QB Trevor Harris, now the No. 1 for the Alouettes, will be making his 95th career start and he is 6-4 all-time vs Ottawa. Harris ranks 20th all-time with 27,956 yards and needs 142 more to pass Kerry Joseph for No. 19. He is 8-7 in 15 starts for Montreal. SHORT STUFF: Redblacks QB NIck Arbuckle has gone over 6,000 career passing yards; this will be his 21st career start . Monday, he completed a career-high 87.5% of his passes . His depth breakdown in last week’s game is notable with so much emphasis on short throws. With 229 yards passing, Arbuckle completed just one throw of more than 20 yards . He had four completions between 10-19 yards and 23 completions of 0-9 yards.Article contentLewis is one of the CFL’s best.
