Blue Jays (19-22) vs Orioles (26-14)
After a nice win last night, the Blue Jays will attempt to take the series against the division leading Orioles tonight. The game once again is set to get underway at the slightly earlier start time of 6:35 ET. Chris Bassitt will make his 9th start of the season, coming into play with a 3-5 record and a 5.06 ERA. That’s certainly not an encouraging line for Bassitt, as he has struggled a fair bit with consistency this year.
With Alejandro Kirk now having caught the last two games, the Jays are likely hoping for Jansen to be ready to go today and give Kirk a break . Kevin Kiermaier, George Springer and Justin Turner all sat out yesterday with an illness, making it nearly a week since Kiermaier and Springer started dealing with those problems.
