It didn’t take long for Gabe Vincent’s dealThe 6-foot-2 guard who spent the previous four seasons with the Miami Heat agreed to terms on a three-year, $33 million contract with the Lakers within 90 minutes of free agency opening on June 30.When it came to the Lakers’ free agency pitch to Vincent, the message was simple.
The Associated Press’ Tim Reynolds reported that the Heat offered Vincent a four-year, $34 million deal to try to retain him. “I’m honored they reached out to me. I’m looking forward to being a part of it and a part of this city, team and organization. And hopefully, compete for a [title].”He joined Miami on a two-way contract in January 2020 after spending 2018-20 with the Stockton Kings, the Sacramento Kings’ G League affiliate. He signed a standard NBA deal for $3.48 million across two seasons with Miami in August 2021.
