Future extremely bright for Texas women’s basketball
With the help of Big 12 Freshman of the Year Rori Harmon, Texas coach Vic Schaefer guided the Longhorns to their second consecutive Elite Eight appearance in 2022.AUSTIN — In the immediate aftermath of a season-ending loss, freshman Rori Harmon couldn’t stop her lips from curling faintly upward when she got to talking about Texas’ senior class.
Like Harmon said, the second-seeded Longhorns’ loss to top-seeded Stanford stung. Probably will for a while. All three seniors are eligible to return for the 2022-23 season due to the NCAA’s COVID-19 eligibility waiver.
