The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Prof. Tajudeen Opoola,said such incidents did not happen on the institution campus because the management has provided water-tight security for all students and staff.

He clarified that the incidents happened outside the premises of the University and not on the campus, saying “ FUOYE is a well secured environment for all students and staff. “The alleged incidents of rape and robbery attacks did not happen on our campus in lkole and could not have happened on the campus. We have the best quality of security gadgets and personnel on ground to prevent such incidents of robbery and rape on campus.

“For the recent incidents, our security unit has been on top of the situation, taking necessary actions needed to prevent such occurrence in the future. Once again, we urge all students to remain calm and security conscious whenever they are outside the university premises.”
