A procession from Manhattan Beach to a service in Cypress is Oct. 18 for MBPD Officer Chad Swanson. In this photo, Swanson, arrives at the Los Angeles County Coroners office on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. Swanson was killed in a motorcycle accident on the 405 freeway in the early morning, The procession begins in Manhattan Beach, with a church service following in Cypress.
Community members are invited to dress in red, white and blue as they stand along the procession route, according to the press release.
