FTSE 100 slumps in early action as U.S. tech giants weigh on global sentiment
The U.K.
opened sharply lower, sliding 1.9% on Friday with most other European stock markets closed. Miners BHP Group BHP, -5.71% and Glencore GLEN, -4.63% were among the decliners. Poorly received results from Apple and Amazon weighed on market sentiment, with the futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average YM00, -1.79% down by 462 points.
